Sioux Falls Police Union Requests Dialogue Over Parole Decisions

SIOUX FALLS, SD — The revelation of crime statistics last week brought good news: lower crime overall in Sioux Falls.

One issue of concern involves the number of those in jail who have reoffended and are back in the system.

Mayor Paul TenHaken is candid about one of his safety concerns in Sioux Falls.

“We are dealing with repeat offenders every single day. That’s half, you know, a third of their jail is repeat offenders of people that are being released from that parole factory up the hill,” said TenHaken.
