The public feud between Dover Mayor James Dodd and Police Chief Jonathan Delaney has escalated again with the mayor accusing Delaney and his department of “excessive and irresponsible overtime spending” and engaging in “lawfare against elected officials.”
“They are actively encouraging members of the community to act against the law, bullying municipal employees and spreading false and misleading information across social media platforms, by providing internal records without the legal OPRA redaction process,” Dodd said in a video posted on the Town of Dover Facebook page on July 25.
