FRANKFORT, KY — A Lexington man who once served in high-ranking leadership roles within regional and state police fraternal organizations has been sentenced to more than two years in federal prison for orchestrating a series of wire fraud schemes.
Kevin Ryan Straw, 40, was sentenced Tuesday to 27 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Robert E. Wier. He was also ordered to pay $187,164.45 in restitution to his victims, which include two Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) lodges and at least ten individual investment fraud victims.
